Denial

Your writing is so pretty and this is so easy to relate to! I haven't written much in a while, but this ended up popping into my head after I read your poem:

But then dawn interrupts and I am made aware,
that although I tried to lie, my feelings were still there
Ever present in my being, but not welcome there at all
No matter how hard I try, I just can't prevent the fall

sometimes, after denying it... the realization only hits that much harder...
but onto a positive note, acceptance and learning and growth and all that jazz comes after, so... silver lining!!!
Your poem is absolutely perfect though... just a few lines but they capture such strong emotions...
